TRICARE PSYPACT Telehealth Therapy

Military life often means moving across state lines, changing duty stations, and having to rebuild support systems over and over again. Those moves can interrupt mental health care right when stability matters most. Headstrong & Ready may be able to provide telehealth psychotherapy through PSYPACT in participating states where appropriate.

TRICARE only
Focused care for eligible military-connected beneficiaries.
Telehealth psychotherapy
Outpatient psychotherapy delivered by telehealth. No medication services at this time.
Multiple states
Serving California, Texas, Idaho, and PSYPACT-participating states where appropriate.
Support overview

Military moves should not always mean starting over

Everything changes with you move, just not your therapist. Frequent relocations can interrupt therapy just when consistency matters most. PSYPACT may make it easier in some situations to continue telehealth care across state lines without immediately losing access to a familiar provider.

Military Families
Moves, PCS transitions, and relocation stress can disrupt treatment.PSYPACT may expand telehealth access across participating states where appropriate.
PSYPACT TELEHEALTH THERAPY
Why this matters
Military families often have to rebuild support systems after every move. Therapy should not become harder to access every time life changes
Who we help
We serve military families, spouses, dependents, and other eligible TRICARE beneficiaries looking for outpatient telehealth therapy.
Clear guidance on referrals
Because TRICARE rules differ for active duty service members and dependents, we explain the process clearly so you know what to do next.
Getting started should feel straightforward
We aim to make the process simple and manageable so you can understand your next step and request care without unnecessary confusion.
What to expect

How PSYPACT works with TRICARE

Head Strong & Ready provides outpatient telehealth psychotherapy for eligible TRICARE beneficiaries in PSYPACT states.

If you are an eligible TRICARE beneficiary and located in a PSYPACT-participating state, telehealth psychotherapy may be possible depending on your circumstances.

If you are active duty, referral requirements generally still apply. If you are a dependent or other eligible beneficiary, the process may be more direct depending on your plan and situation.

The goal is to help clarify whether your location, beneficiary status, and referral situation may fit our services.

Our services are focused on psychotherapy only. We do not provide psychiatry or medication management.

Because TRICARE pathways differ, the first step depends on whether you are active duty or a dependent or other eligible beneficiary. If you are unsure where you fit, we can help you understand the next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does PSYPACT mean I can automatically start care?
No. PSYPACT can expand interstate telehealth practice, but referral rules, TRICARE requirements, and other eligibility factors may still matter. It may mean that if you begin services in one state and move to another state, you would be able to keep the same psychologist.
Do you provide psychiatry?
No. We provide telehealth psychotherapy only.
Can military spouses be seen?
Yes, if they are eligible TRICARE beneficiaries and located in a state we serve.
What stateS are included?
PSYPACT can expand telehealth access in participating states (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
